New activities

This release brings the following new activities:

• Create Customer: supports creating both individual and company customers.

• Update Customer: supports updating both individual and company customers.

• Create Vendor: supports creating both individual and company vendors.

• Update Vendor: supports updating both individual and company vendors.

• Execute SuiteQL Query: supports executing a suiteQL query.

• HTTP Request: supports calling any NetSuite Web Service.

The Create/Update Customer and Vendor activities are replacing older activities that will no longer be available starting with this release.

Deprecated activities

The following activities have been deprecated:

• Create Basic Company Customer and Update Basic Company Customer

• Create Basic Individual Customer and Update Basic Individual Customer

• Create Basic Individual Vendor and Update Basic Individual Vendor

• Create Basic Company Vendor and Update Basic Company Vendor

Improvements

The List All Records activity now includes a Filter builder widget and filterable properties for the Where clause.

We added support for custom fields in all NetSuite standard objects.

Some activities have new, simplified names, as follows: Create and Update Basic Contact are now Create and Update Contact, Create and Update Basic Support Case are Create and Update Support Case.

We fixed some defects in the Search Items activity.

The release brings an enhanced rendering of the autocomplete and look-up fields, as well as general bug fixes and performance improvements.

Known limitation

Due to a vendor limitation, mandatory fields do not show up on the activity canvas. Activities cannot populate the required fields programmatically.

HTTP Request activity

A new HTTP Request activity is now available, allowing you to go beyond the predefined activities in a given package and make requests to any endpoint of a vendor's API.

HTTP Request reuses the connector pre-configuration and provides transparency of headers, authentication, and query parameters. You can reuse any of your connections, and provide the endpoint and the JSON payload. Use this connector-specific HTTP Request activity to benefit from Integration Service's capabilities for connection management.

November 2023

What's New

This activity pack is now always displayed in the Available section of the Activities panel in Studio. Any activity in this package can be installed by simply dragging and dropping it into the canvas. Also, a cloud versioning model is used from now on for this package, as updates will be done automatically to the activities, without the neccesity of manually updating the package by using the Package Manager.

Please note that from this version onwards, this activity pack is only compatible with Studio v2023.10 and above.

• Record Created
• Record Updated
• Vendor Created
• Vendor Updated
• Cutomer Created

The Invoke Operation activity has been deprecated.

This activity pack has gone through multiple user experience improvements, tooltips have been improved and several property field names have been adapted to make your automation journey even easier.

The minimum Studio version required for this activity pack is v2022.10.

New Features and Improvements

Both design time and run time now support the ability to select a connection to use in the Configure Connection Wizard. Before, you could only use the connection that was set as default, even when you would create multiple connections. With this new functionality, you can now select from the drop-down the connection you want to use in Studio (design time) and the connection you want to use on the robot (run time) when executing the process.

The Oracle NetSuite activities package has been upgraded to .NET6.

Implemented telemetry changes.

New Features and Improvements
