Solving Application issues

Introduction

If your application contains errors, deprecates or warnings, you are strongly advised to solve these issues before you create a new build. This guide describes a recommended way of working to help you to solve the application issues.

Steps to solve Application issues

Step 1 Quick scan

Always start with running a quick scan. The results of the quick scan are displayed in the Issues pane of the Tools panel.

Note: You can choose to start with a Full scan. In that case, that the results of this scan will be erased when you start a quick scan later in the process.

Step 2 Solve the top issue

Start with solving the top issue listed in the scan results. It may work out that once you have solved the first issue, other application issues may implicitly be solved as well. It is advised to solve the application issues one-by-one starting from the top of the list.

Note: Click on the hyperlink on the right site of the issue in the Issues pane to jump to the part of your application where the issue is located. This should be the place where you can solve the issue.

Step 3 Quick scan

Perform a Quick scan after solving an issue. This enables you to see if the issue is resolved, and probably other issues as well.

Repeat step 2 and 3 until the Quick scan does not find any issues.

Note: If you need to solve a lot of issues, it is strongly advised that you commit your changes regularly in between.

Step 4 Full scan

If the quick scan does not give any more results, you should perform again a full scan. If the full scan still detects any issues, either resolve the issues or decide whether you can ignore the remaining issues.
