Setting values for URL custom fields

Add, change, or remove the URL and display text of a URL custom field on a requirement, test case, or test set in Test Manager.

Set the URL and optional display text of a custom field of type URL on a requirement, test case, or test set. Test Manager shows the display text as a clickable link, or the URL itself when no display text is set.

Remarque :

The URL custom field type is available in Test Manager only when delivered via Test Cloud.

Prérequis

• A custom field of type URL assigned to the object type you want to edit. For more information, refer to Creating custom fields.

Add or change a value

Enter or update the URL and the optional display text of the field on an object.

1. Open the requirement, test case, or test set and go to its Details section.
2. Select the pencil icon next to the URL field. For a requirement, the editor opens in a side panel.
3. In the URL field, enter the link. The URL is required.
4. (Optional) In the Display text field, enter the text to show instead of the URL.
5. Sélectionnez Enregistrer.

Selecting the link opens the URL in a new browser tab. Fields with no value show Unspecified.

Remove a value

Clear the field so that it no longer links anywhere.

1. Select the pencil icon next to the URL field.
2. Delete both the URL and the Display text entries.
3. Sélectionnez Enregistrer.

The field goes back to Unspecified.
