Create Table activity that creates a new table in a sheet of an Apple Numbers spreadsheet.

Description

Creates a new table in a sheet of an Apple Numbers spreadsheet.

This activity adds a table with the specified name to a sheet and returns a snapshot of the new table's dimensions. You can choose how to handle a table that already has the same name in the sheet.

Note:

This package only runs on macOS systems with Apple Numbers installed.

Configuration

You can configure the activity and its properties as follows:

• File (local path) - The path to the Apple Numbers spreadsheet file.
  • Use a File Resource - Switches to a file resource reference instead of a plain path. You can browse for a file in either mode; this only changes how the reference is stored.
  • Use Local File - Switches back to the plain path field, restoring your previous value.
• Sheet - The name of the sheet in which to create the table.
• Table name - The name for the new table.

Options

• Conflict resolution - What to do if a table with the same name already exists in the sheet. Select one of the following options:
  • Overwrite - Deletes the existing table and creates a new one.
  • Don't Replace - Throws an exception. This is the default option.
  • Rename - Appends a numeric suffix to create a unique table name, for example, My Table 2.

Output

• Table information - A snapshot of the created table's dimensions and header count, including sheet name, table name, row count, column count, and header row count.
