AADSTS700082: The refresh token has expired due to inactivity

Issue

When using Microsoft 365 activities, you encounter the following error: "AADSTS700082: The refresh token has expired due to inactivity is because the Access and Refresh token for Office365 has expired."

Solution

To refresh the token, you can manually delete the token from your machine and authenticate again. Depending on the authentication flow you're using, the tokens are available in one of the following locations:

  • %localappdata%\DataStore.Office365
  • %appdata%\uipath\authentication\office365.tokens.cache

We also recommended you upgrade to UiPath.MicrosoftOffice365.Activites version 1.6.0 or higher. In v1.6.0 we fixed the "Access token has expired" issue occurring for long-running processes.
