Description

Initiates an automation workflow when an item is updated in the specified SharePoint list. An update can consist of: modifying an item's content, changing an item's metadata etc.

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • Sites.ReadWrite.All

Configuration

  • Microsoft OneDrive & SharePoint connection - The connection for the Microsoft 365 account to use in the activity.
  • SharePoint list - Browse through SharePoint sites you follow and choose the SharePoint list to use for this activity. Click the Folder icon to browse available lists or use the See more button menu to switch to Enter Url input mode.

    • List Name or ID - Enter the name or ID of the list. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
    • Site Url - Enter the Url of the site. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
    • Select the Reload SharePoint List Picker option if you've updated your lists and need to retrieve the latest data.

    • Select the Update List Columns option if you've modified your lists and need to retrieve the latest data.

  • Filter - Use the filter builder to filter the list items. Supports filtering on the following fields: Complete?, Completed On, Compliance Asset Id, Created, Description, Modified, Title.
Note: The SharePoint List activities use Column Names, but the Studio user interface exposes the columns' Display Names.
Note: Be aware that, behind the scenes, SharePoint lists have three Title columns, two of which are hidden from the UI. This means that when you change the display name of the Title column, you may inadvertently rename the wrong column.
Additional options
Output
  • SharePoint List items - The updated item stored in a DataRow. Automatically generated output variable. You can use it as it is or save it with a different name. You can use this in other activities.
  • Job Data - Contains job info, such as Process name, Process version, Workflow name, Robot name, and mode of execution.
