Note: In UiPath.GSuite.Activities releases prior to 1.11.0, this activity was named Create File Permissions.
In the Body of the Activity
- File - The ID of the file you want to
share. This property supports
Stringvariables and string formatted values. When entering your value, use the exact File ID, or the output property variable from a previous Find Files And Folders or Create Folder activity. -
Share with - Select the entity to share the file with:
- User - grants permission to a single user.
- Group - grants permission to a group.
- Domain - grants permission to a domain.
- Anyone - grants permission to anyone with access to the company domain.

Role - Select the file permission role to grant the entity:
- Owner - the entity owns the file.
- Writer - the entity can edit the file.
- Commenter - the entity can comment on the file.
- Reader - the entity can read and download the file.
- Email address - The email address of the user or group that is getting the file permissions. This property supports String variables and string formatted values. This property is required only if the GranteeType value is user or group.
- Send notification email - If selected, an email notification is sent to the user or group you shared the file with.

Common
- ContinueOnError - If set, the remaining activities are executed if the current activity fails. This field supports Boolean values.
- DisplayName - The display name of the
activity. This property supports
Stringvariables and string formatted values.
Input
- Domain - The domain of users to which to grant access. This needs to be specified only if GranteeType is selected.
- FileID - See File in the body of the activity.
- GranteeType - See Share with in the body of the activity.
- Role - See Role in the body of the activity.
- UserEmail - See User's email in the body of the activity.
Misc
- Private - If selected, the values of variables and arguments are no longer logged at Verbose level. This field supports Boolean values.
Options
- EmailMessage - The message content that you want to send when there is an update to the file permissions. The default value is "A new permission has been created, and you are the recipient!". This property is only required if SendNotificationEmail is selected.
- SendNotificationEmail - See Send notification email in the body of the activity.
- UseDomainAdminAccess - If selected, the requester is granted access if they are an administrator of the domain to which the file belongs.
Output
- Permission - The granted permissions.
