Integration Service User Guide
Last updated Dec 10, 2024
WhatsApp Business authentication
There are two
available authentication methods:
- OAuth 2.0 Authorization code
- PAT (Personal Access Token)
To create a connection using OAuth 2.0 Authorization code, you need the following credentials:
- Client ID
- Client secret
- Account ID
- Personal access token
- Account ID
Note:
- If you add a new account (account ID) you have to select Opt-in for the account to be available automatically in all activities. This has to be done at the time of setting connection using OAuth2 (On login page select Edit previous settings.and then choose opt in for all future accounts as well, as this is not selected by default).
- To retrieve your Account ID, go to Meta for Developers and navigate to your App → Select the WhatsApp accounts on left menu → Choose the account to select. You will see the Id in the URL.
- Personal/data access token limit is 3 months (In case of both types of authentications). Every 3 months the instance must be re-created.
- For Business communication to work, you must accept WhatsApp terms of business communication in their respective accounts.
-
Select Integration Service from Automation CloudTM Public Sector.
- From the Connectors list, select WhatsApp Business. You can also use the search bar to find the connector.
-
Select the Add connection button.
- Select your preferred authentication method and enter the required credentials.
-
Select Connect.
- Enter your Facebook credentials using Email address or phone number and Password.
- Select Log in.
-
Your connection has been added.
