Intercom authentication

Prerequisites

To create a connection, you need the following credentials:

  • Client ID
  • Client secret
The connector uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. To learn how to retrieve credentials, see the Intercom Setting up OAuth documentation.

Add the Intercom connection

  1. Select Integration Service from Automation CloudTM Public Sector.

  2. From the Connectors list, select Intercom. You can also use the search bar to find the connector.
  3. Select the Connect to Intercom button.
  4. Enter the required credentials.
  5. Select Connect.

  6. Next, you'll be prompted to log in to your Intercom account using your email and password.
  7. After login, you must grant the Intercom connector access to your Intercom data. See the Permissions sections below for details.
  8. Your connection has been added.

Permissions

The connector requires the following permissions:

  • People - View and manage users and leads
  • Companies - View and manage companies
  • Conversations - View and update Inbox conversations
  • Messages - View messages, campaigns and message insights
  • Teams and teammates - View teams and teammates and set away status
  • Intercom app capabilities - Access and receive data in Intercom apps
  • Tags - View and manage people, company and conversation tags
  • People activity - View and create people activity and events
  • Workspace counts - View numerical counts of your workspace data
  • Data attributes - Manage your customer and company attributes
  • Tickets - View Manage tickets
  • AI Content - View Manage AI Content.
