Microsoft Office 365 Scope

UiPath.MicrosoftOffice365.Activities.Office365ApplicationScope

Opens a connection to Microsoft Office 365 using the authentication type and API permissions of your Azure Active Directory registered application.

Note

If an automation workflow includes multiple Microsoft Office Authentification Scopes (in a parallel activity or sequence activity), only the first account is used.

Dropdown selection

The type of authentication required for your registered application.

We recommend consulting your IT department to confirm the value you should use.


Allowed values:


  • InteractiveToken (default)

    Select this type if your application accepts access tokens from the Microsoft identity platform (this type is used in the Quickstart guide and likely applies to your application). For more information, see Authentication and Authorization basics for Microsoft Graph.


  • IntegratedWindowsAuthentication

    Select this type if your company allows desktop credentials to be used for Microsoft Azure and Office products. For more information, see Integrated Windows Authentication. Microsoft identity platform


  • UsernameAndPassword

    Only select this type if your application accepts access tokens from the Microsoft identity platform (i.e., InteractiveToken) and you plan to use an Unattended Robot to run the activities. When selecting this type, you must provide values for the properties listed in the Unattended section below.

Dropdown selection

The service(s) you grant API permissions to during Azure Activte Directory app registration (e.g., Mail, Files). If the necessary API permissions are not granted for a service, all activities will fail to run if that service is selected.

  • Files

    Select this service to use the Files and/or Excel activities.

  • Mail

    Select this service to use the Outlook activities.

  • Calendar

    Select this service to use the Calendar activities.

The password of your Microsoft Office 365 account.

Tenant

The ID of your Azure Tenant. This ID can be found with your Application ID in the Microsoft Azure portal and may be referred to as a Directory ID.

Username

The username of your Microsoft Office 365 account

Note

The Unattended properties apply when you run activities using Unattended Robots to execute your activities. When specifying values for these properties, be sure the AuthenticationType property is set to UsernameAndPassword.

When running activities using Attended Robots, you don't need to specify values for Unattended properties.
