Create Event

Description

Adds an event to the indicated Outlook calendar.

Scopes

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • Calendars.ReadWrite

OR

  • Calendars.ReadWrite.Shared

Configuration

  • Microsoft Outlook 365 connection - The connection for the Microsoft 365 account to use in the activity.
  • Calendar - The calendar used for the event. If not indicated, the user's default calendar is used. Click the Folder docs image icon to browse through available calendars. This field supports IResource input.
    • Use the See more button menu to use a variable or select the Reload Calendar Data option if you've modified your calendars and need to retrieve the latest data.

  • Event title - The new name of the event. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
  • Start date and time - Use the calendar widget to select the date and time when the event starts. This property supports DateTime variables and DateTime formatted values (MM/DD/YYYY Hour:Minute:Seconds, e.g., 01/10/2023 12:00:00). Use the See more docs image button menu to select Snippets and use a predefined value: Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow, StartOfNextWeek, StartOfNextMonth, Now.
    End date and time - Use the calendar widget to select the date and time when the event ends. This property supports DateTime variables and DateTime formatted values (MM/DD/YYYY Hour:Minute:Seconds, e.g., 01/10/2023 13:00:00). Use the See more docs image button menu to select Snippets and use a predefined value: Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow, StartOfNextWeek, StartOfNextMonth, Now.
    Timezone - Select the time zone for the event. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.

    All day event - Specifies whether the event takes place all day. This field supports Boolean values. If True is selected, this option supersedes the Start and End times of the event.

Options

  • Required attendees - The required attendees for the event. This property supports String[] variables and string array formatted values.
  • Optional attendees - The optional attendees for the event. This property supports String[] variables and string array formatted values.
  • Resource attendees - The resource attendees for the event. This property supports String[] variables and string array formatted values.
  • Location - Specifies the location of the event. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
  • Online meeting URL - The link of the online meeting on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
  • Attachment(s) - The attachments to add to the event. Accepts input as IResource.
  • Importance - The importance of the event: Low, Normal, or High.
  • Categories - Add categories for the event. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.
  • Show as - The event status displayed in the calendar. The available options are: Free, Tentative, Busy, Out of office, Working elsewhere, Unknown.
  • Sensitivity - The sensitivity label applied to the event. The available options are: Normal, Personal, Private, Confidential.
  • Timezone for output event - The time zone for the event when the output is used in other activities. If left blank, the default option is UTC. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.

Output

  • Event - The event generated by the activity. Automatically generated output variable. You can use it as it is or save it with a different name. You can use this in other activities, such asForward Event.
Note:

Batching API calls is supported for this activity when used inside: For Each Row in Workbook.
