Pop-ups and success screens
A pop-up window is triggered at the level of transition, meaning that when an idea is moved from a status to another, the system displays the Approve idea feedback pop-up (e.g. transitioning Idea - Awaiting Review → Assessment - Not Started).
- In the Idea flow, select Customize, on the right side of the page.
- Select a Status and the transition linked to it. The Transition preferences panel is displayed on the right side.
- Select Pop-up window expanding arrow. New options are available. Here, you can also sort feedback forms, edit, preview or delete an existing form using the three dotted menu.
- You can choose to add a new pop-up, using the Add pop-up option, or edit the current one. While editing the current one, you can select the three dotted menu, and select Edit. From there you can edit the feedback by editing the sections, pop-up title, pop-up message or how the question is displayed. Use Preview button to check how the pop-up window is displayed, Save to save your work or Cancel to discard the changes.
- To add a completely new pop-up, choose Add pop-up option. A new window is displayed from where you can Select existing pop-up, which can also be edited or previewed using the icons in the right side of each pop-up. The system also shows the number of idea flows currently using the pop-up message. By selecting the displayed number, you can view a list of all the flows that include the pop-up. If you choose Create new, you can create a new one from scratch or use the existing templates. Select Add pop-up and then Create new to start the customization process from scratch.
- In the new windows you can:
- Set the pop-up title.
- Add a pop-up message.
- Add a modal question type available to be selected in the feedback pop-up.
- Free text
- Free text with formatting
- Number
- Ranged number
- Percentage
- Single choice
- Multiple choice
- Date
- Rich text message
- Image
- Buttons
- Description for the question (depending on the model question type, the way the description field is shown may vary).
- Variable name
Note: The pop-up customization process uses the form from Customizing assessments process. More of the fields available to be customized in the Feedback form are also defined in Automation Hub - Customize Assessments (uipath.com) documentation. - Select Preview to see how the created form looks like, or Add to save the new feedback modal or Cancel to discard changes.
- In the Idea flow, select Customize, on the right side of the page.
- Select a Status within the Submission phase and the transition linked to it. The Transition preferences panel is displayed on the right side.
- Select Success screen expanding arrow. New options are available. Here, you can:
- Set the Default success page. These are the ones that are available with the default configuration of Automation Hub. Using the preview icon, you can check how the page looks like, sort feedback forms, edit, preview or delete an existing form using the three dotted menu.
- You can edit the default one, using the three dotted menu or you can choose to add a new one using Add screen. From there, a new window is displayed from where you can Select existing, which can also be edited or previewed using the icons in the right side of each screen. It also displays the number of idea flows where the success screen is already being used and selecting the number displayed, shows you the list of the flows with the screen.
- If you choose Create new, you can create a new one from scratch or use the templates. From there you can:
- Set a title for the Submission success page
- Add a description
- Add a rich text message, an image or Buttons and define how they look and behave
- Add a reference that can be customized with the following:
- Default value
- Referenced variable from other assessment
- Variable name
- If you have multiple success screens, you can reorder them, using the six dotted drag indicator before the screen name, select it and drag as per your needs. You can select the preview icon, to preview the success screen, or select the three dotted menu, and select Edit to customize it, or Remove to delete the screen from the list.
You can configure emails to be sent, if required. The email will be sent once the idea achieves the status.
When creating a new email, you have the option to start completely from scratch or build on top of an existing template.
In the email editor, you can configure the following things:
-
Recipient user roles: The roles who will receive the email once the automation idea reaches this status.
-
Subject: The subject/title of your email.
-
Body: The text body of the email. The editor offers common text formatting options like bold or italic text, adding lists or links, etc.
-
Variables: The variables on the right can be used if you want to add information from the automation idea to the text. Copy the variable from the interface and paste it into your text. For example, instead of the variable name {{ProcessSubmitter}}, the actual email will contain the name of the person who submitted the idea. Variables can be used in the Subject, Body and also part as linked text in the body.
When adding an existing email, you can preview the email via the eye-icon. You have the option to add the email as-is or edit the email and then add it to your status. The edited email is saved as a new email template in Automation Hub.
Each email also shows you in how many transitions and other idea flows it being used in.
