New activities

This release brings four new activities for Microsoft Teams:

• Get Online Teams Meeting

• List All Recordings

• List All Transcripts

• Download Meeting Transcript/Recording

To use the new activities, update your connection to the Microsoft Teams connector to add the OnlineMeetingTranscript.Read.All and OnlineMeetingRecording.Read.All permissions.

New activities

HTTP Request activity

A new HTTP Request activity is now available, allowing you to go beyond the predefined activities in a given package and make requests to any endpoint of a vendor's API.

HTTP Request reuses the connector pre-configuration and provides transparency of headers, authentication, and query parameters. You can reuse any of your connections, and provide the endpoint and the JSON payload. Use this connector-specific HTTP Request activity to benefit from Integration Service's capabilities for connection management.

New features

You can now attach a file to the messages you send using the Send Channel Message, Send Group Chat Message, Reply to Channel Message, and Send Individual Chat Message activities. The new File ID parameter allows you to enter IDs for files hosted in Microsoft OneDrive & SharePoint. This change requires you to update your connection to the Microsoft Teams connector to add the Files.Read.All permission.

The Send Individual Chat Message activity now allows you to choose whether you want to send a message using the email address or the chat ID.

A new activity is now available: Create Online Teams meeting.

Erratum - added July 2024: To use the new activity, you must update your connection to the Microsoft Teams connector to add the OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite and Calendars.ReadWrite permissions.

Trigger activities are now available for Microsoft Teams. Start building workflows from the following events: Chat Message Posted, Channel Message Posted, Channel Message Updated, Record Created, and Record Updated.

New Features and Improvements

The Microsoft Teams activities pack is no longer in preview, as this version marks the first official release.

This activity pack is now always displayed in the Available section of the Activities panel in Studio. Any activity in this package can be installed by simply dragging and dropping it into the canvas. Also, a cloud versioning model is used from now on for this package, as updates will be done automatically to the activities, without the neccesity of manually updating the package by using the Package Manager.

Please note that from this version onwards, this activity pack is only compatible with Studio v2023.10 and above.
