Download Attachment

UiPath.Oracle.IntegrationCloud.Process.Activities.DownloadAttachmentActivity

The Download Attachment activity uses the Oracle Integration Retrieve Process Attachment or Retrieve Task Attachment APIs to retrieve a specific attachment (AttachmentURL) and download it to a local destination (File Path).

After completing the get operation, the activity outputs the API call status (Status) and response message (Response Message).

How it works

The following steps and message sequence diagram is an example of how the activity works from design time (i.e., the activity dependencies and input/output properties) to run time.

1. Complete the Setup steps.
2. Add the Oracle Process Scope activity to your project.
3. Add an activity or run an external process that outputs the URL of the attachment (e.g., Get Process Attachments or Get Task Attachments).
4. Add the Download Attachment activity inside the Oracle Process Scope activity.
5. Enter values for the Input properties.
6. Create and enter String variables for the Output properties.

7. Run the activity.

   • Your input properties are sent to the Retrieve Process Attachment or Retrieve Task Attachment APIs.
   • The APIs return the String values to your output property variables.
     
     

     

     
     

Properties

Common

• DisplayName - The display name of the activity. This field supports only Strings or String variables.

Input

• Attachment URL - The URL of the attachment that you want to download. Enter a String or String variable.
  • To get the Attachment URL value, add an activity or run an external process that outputs the attachment URL (e.g., Get Process Attachments or Get Task Attachments).
  • When using the Get Process Attachments activity, you can get the attachment URL from the StreamURL column of the DataTable output variable (e.g., attachments.Rows(0).Item("StreamURL").ToString).
  • When using the Get Task Attachments activity, you can get the attachment URL from the AttachmentURL column of the DataTable output variable (e.g., attachments.Rows(0).Item("AttachmentURL").ToString).
• Folder Path - The local path that you want to download the file to. Enter a String or String variable. If the specified File Path contains a file with the same name as the attachment, the activity overwrites the existing file during the download.

Misc

• Private - If selected, the values of variables and arguments are no longer logged at Verbose level.

Output

• Response Message - The API response message. Enter a String variable.
• Status - The status of the request. Enter a String variable. Possible values are Success or Failure.
