Consumables
SAP Transport Units, Virtual User units, and Platform units: how each consumable is calculated and consumed in Test Manager.
Consumables are the units that Test Manager uses, such as SAP Transport Units and Virtual User units, and the sections below explain how each one is calculated and consumed.
SAP Transport Units
When you analyze transports with Change Impact Analysis you consume SAP Transport Units. SAP Transport Units come in bundles of 100 units.
Every unique transport analyzed consumes SAP Transport Units. Depending on the purchased bundles of SAP Transport Units, you can analyze a certain number of unique transports.
When you analyze a transport that has been analyzed before, no SAP Transport Unit is consumed.
For more information, see Managing SAP Transport Units.
Virtual User units
This consumable is available only in Test Manager delivered through Test Cloud.
Virtual User (VU) units measure the concurrency capacity of performance scenario executions across Desktop, Web UI, and API automations under the Unified Pricing commercial licensing plan. Each execution consumes VU units based on the type and number of virtual users configured.
VU units work as follows:
- A Performance Testing Virtual Users Bundle includes 2,500 VU units per tenant and allows flexible usage across supported automation types.
- When configuring a performance scenario, you define the number of concurrent virtual users (for Desktop, Web UI, or API automations) assigned to the test case. The number and type of users determine the VU units consumed during execution.
- A performance test runs if the total required VU units are within the available bundle capacity assigned to the tenant. If the scenario requires more VU units than available, execution is prevented until units are freed. VU units are not consumed during blocked executions. Once previously used units are freed, they can be reused within the same bundle.
Platform units
Test Manager does not consume Platform Units directly. For details, see the Platform Units overview.
This also applies to Playwright test automation: a Playwright test execution runs as a serverless test execution, and platform units are consumed at the underlying robot-execution level, based on run time. There's no different (cheaper or more expensive) rate for Playwright versus native UiPath test automations.
