Automating test cases
Link test cases in Test Manager to Studio automations or create new automations directly from a test case to enable automated execution.
Create a test case in Test Manager and connect it to an automation so that you can run it as an automated test. Use this task when you want to start from a new test case and automate it.
Steps
- Create a test case in Test Manager. For details, see Create test cases.
- Automate the test case, using one of the following methods:
- Select an existing automation created and published from Studio. For details on selecting a Studio automation, refer to Selecting automation.
- Create a new automation directly in a Studio Web Tests project. For step-by-step instructions, refer to Automating test cases in Studio Web.
- Bring an existing Playwright test suite into Test Manager by packaging it as a UiPath automation, without rewriting it in Studio. For details, refer to Playwright test automation.
Result
The test case is linked to an automation and can be executed as an automated test.
