Edit, clone, or delete custom user roles in Test Manager to reflect your authorization needs.
You manage custom roles from the Manage roles tab under Settings. You can also clone a role to use it as the starting point for a new one.
Editing a custom role
Editing a custom role changes its name, description, and permissions, or clones it as the starting point for a new role.
Steps
- Select Settings in the Test Manager header.
- In the Manage roles tab, select
for the user role that you want to edit, and then select one of the following actions:
- Edit role - This opens the Edit role panel and you can edit the name, description and permissions.
- Clone - This opens the Clone role panel and you can edit the clone of the role that you're creating.
- Select Save to record your changes.
Result
The custom role is saved with your edited name, description, and permissions, or a new cloned role is created with your changes.
