Managing comments for governed test case logs
Add threaded comments on a governed test case log in Test Manager without needing to be an assigned approver.
You can comment on any governed test case log if you have the Test Process Governance permission, or if you have update permissions on the test case log. You do not need to be an assigned approver to comment. The commenting feature supports threading, the same as for test cases.
Steps
- Open a governed test case log.
- Identify your row in the approvers' table.
- Go to the end of the row, right select the three-dot vertical menu, and, from the context menu, select Comment.
- Review the comment thread, if previous comments are available.
- Enter your comment, or adjust an existing comment, in the Add Comment panel.
- Select Save.
- Go back to the test case log. In the approvers' table, check the Comments column to see the comment, the name and email of the user, and the date and time the last comment was added (in local time).
Result
The comment is saved and visible in the Comments column of the approvers' table on the governed test case log.
