Step 3: Configuring Jira project
Connect a Jira project to Test Manager by selecting issue types to synchronize and entering the Test Manager server URL and API key.
The Test Manager page in the Jira project settings holds the link between the two tools.
Steps
-
Open Jira and navigate to the project you want to integrate with Test Manager.
-
Switch to the project settings.
-
Scroll down and select UiPath® Test Manager to open the Test Manager configuration page.
-
Select all Jira issue types that you want to be synchronized as requirements to Test Manager.
Note:The native Jira integration syncs only Requirements and Defects. If your Jira instance uses a test-management add-on (such as Xray or Zephyr) with a custom issue type like Test or Test Xray, selecting that issue type creates it as a Requirement in Test Manager, not a Test Case. For proper custom issue-type mapping, use Test Manager Connect instead.
-
Enter the Server URL from Test Manager (for example,
https://govcloud.uipath.us/{organizationName}/{tenantName}/testmanager_). -
Paste the API Key you copied in the previous procedure.
-
Select Save.
Result
The Jira project is connected to Test Manager. Requirements are synchronized from Jira to Test Manager, and defects created in Test Manager are synchronized back to Jira.
