Enabling governance at test-case level
Enable governance at the test case level after activating project-level governance in Test Manager.
After enabling governance at project level, you must enable governance at object level.
Prerequisites
To enable testing process governance, you must hold the Test Manager Administrator role, the Test Governance Administrator role, the Project Owner role or be assigned the Test Process Governance permission.
Steps
- Go to Test Cases.
- Open a test case.
- In the upper, left-hand side corner of the object, toggle on the Governed option. The object state is marked as In work. The Governance tab is visible and enabled.
From this point on, every test case log generated when this test case is executed is automatically governed as well. You can also enable or disable governance directly on an individual test case log, independently of its parent test case. See Enabling governance at test case log level and Disabling governance at test case log level.
To enable governance for multiple test cases at once instead of one at a time, see Enabling or disabling governance in bulk for test cases.
Result
Governance is enabled for the test case. The test case state is set to In work and the Governance tab becomes visible, allowing approvers to sign off on the test case.
