Copying clipboard values
Define a string value in the Clipboard data field of a manual test step so that its value is placed in the Windows Clipboard during execution.
Clipboard values let testers paste data into input fields during manual execution without typing it.
Prerequisites
A manual test case with at least one step. For details, see Adding manual steps to a test case.
Steps
-
In the test case, go to Manual Steps and select a step to expand the panel.
-
In the Clipboard data field, enter any string value, for example
{CLIPBOARD}. -
Execute the test case manually.
Result
During the execution, a pop-up window shows the test case execution steps. The string value is replaced by the Clipboard data value and placed in the Windows Clipboard.
