Executing test sets manually
Execute Test Manager or Orchestrator-linked test sets manually using the manual execution assistant.
Both Test Manager test sets and test sets that have been linked from Orchestrator can be executed manually if manual steps have been defined for the test cases.
Prerequisites
- Manual steps are defined for the test cases.
- If you are using a pop-up blocker, configure it to allow the manual execution assistant window to open.
Steps
- Open your project in Test Manager.
- Go to Test Sets.
- Select More Options for the test set that you want to execute.
- Select Execute Manually.
Tip:
Alternatively, open the test set, select Execute, and then select Manually from the dropdown list.
Note:Automated test cases can have manual steps defined and can also be executed manually.
Result
The manual execution assistant opens in a new window, and the results of the execution are recorded in the Execution section of the project.
