Bring-your-own-model setup

Configure a custom LLM subscription via AI Trust Layer for use with Semantic selectors.

Bring-your-own-model setup

To use your own LLM subscription instead of the UiPath-managed subscription, take the following configuration steps via LLM configurations in AI Trust Layer.

Prerequisites

  • UI Automation Activities package v26.10.0 or later. Existing workflows must be upgraded to this version for a configured model to take effect.

Steps

  1. In Automation Cloud™, navigate to Admin.
  2. Select AI Trust Layer, then select the LLM configurations tab.
  3. Select a tenant from the Tenant drop-down.
  4. Select Add configuration.
  5. In the Add configuration panel, take the following steps:
    1. Select UI Automation from the Product drop-down.
    2. Select Semantic Selectors from the Feature drop-down.
    3. Select a folder from the Connections Folder drop-down.
    4. In the Model Configuration section, select the API Type, Connector, and Connection that match your model.
      • The LLM Name is pre-populated to gemini-2.5-flash.
      • To configure a Connection that is not in the predefined list, select Add connection. A new tab opens, prompting you to provide information to connect UiPath to your selected connector. Populate the necessary fields, then select Connect.
    5. In the LLM identifier field, enter the model identifier exactly as it appears in your subscription.
    6. Select Test configuration to verify that the endpoint is reachable.
    7. Select Save.

Result

The new configuration appears in the LLM configurations list for the selected tenant, and the model is available to power your Semantic selectors.
