Deprecation timeline

This article identifies features, or capabilities that will no longer be supported and will be removed at some point in the future. Please note that this is not a product roadmap and is subject to change.

Terminology

• Deprecation refers to features or capabilities that are in the process of being replaced by superior alternatives. Deprecating a feature or capability means that UiPath discourages its use, but the feature continues to be available. Deprecated features or capabilities are often targeted for removal in future versions.

  Deprecated features or capabilities are fully supported and continue to work until we effectively remove them.

• Removal means a feature or capability is removed and is no longer available for use or supported.
• Out of support means UiPath will stop issuing patches and hotfixes to a certain product version. Out of support dates do not make the subject of this article. For more details on out of support versions, see theout-of-support versions.

In future Studio releases, you will still be able to open, edit, and run Windows - Legacy projects created in previous versions of Studio, but you will only be able to create Windows and cross-platform projects. Organizations will still be able to use governance policies to restore the option of creating Windows – Legacy projects. Chrome and Edge MV2 extensions	Studio 2022.4.4 Release Notes	June 2024	Chrome will begin disabling Manifest V2 extensions in pre-stable versions of Chrome as early as June 2024, in Chrome 127 and later. Enterprises using the ExtensionManifestV2Availability policy to ensure the continued functioning of Manifest V2 extensions in their organization will have one additional year – until June 2025 – to migrate the Manifest V2 extensions in their organization. Browsers with the policy enabled will not be impacted by the rollout of the deprecation until that time.
Support for .NET Framework 4.6.1 Runtime	Studio 2023.4.2 Release Notes	Initially announced for 2023.10, the end of support for .NET Framework 4.6.1 has been postponed indefinitely.	We recommend upgrading to .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher.

If you integrate Test Manager with a third party ALM tool, you must switch to UiPath Test Manager Connect. The deprecation of the native connectors means that starting with September 30th, 2024: You won't be able to create new connections for the deprecated connectors. You won't have support for the deprecated connectors. Existing native connections will continue to work for a certain grace period, without guaranteeing that they will work as expected.
