LLM model deprecation timeline

LLM model removals and deprecations on the UiPath platform, including vendor retirement schedules and their impact on AI Trust Layer and LLM Gateway users.

UiPath provides third-party large language models (LLMs) through the AI Trust Layer and LLM Gateway. When a model vendor schedules a model for retirement, UiPath coordinates its removal across all affected products.

This page tracks LLM model removals and deprecations on the UiPath Platform. Models scheduled for removal from the whole platform are listed under Upcoming removals. Models deprecated for specific products, which may remain available elsewhere, are listed under Recently deprecated models. For the current availability and lifecycle stage of each model per product, see LLM model lifecycle.

To check which models your products use, refer to Automation Cloud - AI features and model routing. UiPath's support timeline for a given model may differ from the vendor's own timeline. The dates on this page reflect UiPath's own schedule, not the vendor's.

Status definitions

• Announced: Removal date confirmed. Replacement may not yet be available.
• Migration open: Replacement model available. Migration window active.
• Action required: Removal date is imminent or has passed. Migrate now.
• Deprecated: Model cannot be used for a specific product. It may remain configurable or available for other products on the UiPath platform, or for the deprecating product while its LLM migration to the replacement model is in progress.
• Removed: Model is no longer available on the UiPath platform.

The following models are scheduled for removal from the UiPath platform. All models in this table apply to all products platform-wide.

What happens on the removal date

When a model reaches its removal date, UiPath handles the transition based on the configuration type:

• UiPath-managed LLMs: UiPath automatically switches affected products to the replacement model. No customer action is required, but testing the replacement model beforehand is strongly recommended.
• BYO (Bring Your Own) configurations: Configurations that reference the removed model are invalidated. If you have not updated your configuration to the replacement model by the removal date, UiPath falls back to UiPath-managed LLMs as a last resort.

For both configuration types, UiPath performs the migration to the replacement model if customers have not acted by the removal date. To avoid unexpected behavior changes, migrate and test before the deadline.

How to prepare

1. Identify which of your automations and workflows depend on the model scheduled for removal, so you know the full scope of migration before making any changes.
2. Review your BYO configurations for any references to that model.
3. Test the replacement model in a non-production environment to validate output quality and behavior.
4. Update your BYO configurations to the replacement model before the removal date.

Recently deprecated models

The following models are deprecated for the products listed in the Scope column. They may remain configurable or available for other products on the UiPath platform, and their platform-wide lifecycle stage is unchanged.
