Overview
UiPath offers several on-premises delivery options for organizations that require full control over their infrastructure, data, and compliance environments. These delivery options provide enterprise grade automation and testing capabilities while allowing you to host and manage everything within your own environment. New functionality is first released in Automation Cloud or Test Cloud and is later delivered to on-premises platforms through long term support versions of Automation Suite or Test Cloud.
UiPath provides two on-premises delivery options: Automation Suite and Test Cloud. Automation Suite supports enterprise automation workloads, while Test Cloud focuses on application and automation testing.
UiPath also offers standalone products that you can install and manage individually. For more information, refer to Product and feature availability across delivery options.
Automation Suite is the self hosted UiPath platform for deploying, managing, and scaling UiPath server products as a single solution. Automation Suite provides a unified environment for automation and automation testing with centralized management for users, tenants, applications, and licenses. Automation Suite runs in customer-managed environments and supports a consistent experience across all included products.
Automation Suite supports multiple infrastructure setups to match different operational and compliance needs. You can choose between Automation Suite on Linux, Automation Suite on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service or Azure Kubernetes Service, and Automation Suite on Red Hat OpenShift. The choice depends on the Kubernetes platform you want to use and the level of control you require over infrastructure. Managed Kubernetes services and OpenShift provide greater infrastructure control than Automation Suite on Linux.
Key benefits of Automation Suite
Automation Suite offers several benefits, such as:
- Access to UiPath server products (except for any new products shipping in Automation Cloud first);
- Centralized user, tenant, and license management across the platform;
- Shared platform capabilities for security, authentication, and integrations;
- Kubernetes based deployment, scaling, monitoring, and upgrade management.
Test Cloud is the UiPath on premises testing platform for building, managing, and scaling application and automation testing. Test Cloud provides a unified environment for manual and automated testing and supports secure testing workflows in customer-managed infrastructure.
Test Cloud supports multiple infrastructure setups, including Test Cloud on Linux, Test Cloud on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service or Azure Kubernetes Service, and Test Cloud on Red Hat OpenShift. All options provide the same testing platform experience. Your choice depends on the Kubernetes platform you prefer and the level of control you want over infrastructure. Managed Kubernetes services and OpenShift provide greater infrastructure control than Test Cloud on Linux.
Key benefits of Test Cloud
- End-to-end test lifecycle management from design to execution and reporting;
- Support for application and automation testing in a single platform;
- Broad testing coverage across web, desktop, SAP, mainframe, API, Citrix, and mobile technologies;
- Integration with UiPath services for test data management, execution, and analytics;
- Support for manual and automated testing workflows across teams.
