Use of customer data with Data Service

Purposes

We use the information we collect from our services for the following purposes:
  • Provide our services

Provide our services

Data Service enables customers to store, manage, and use business data directly within their automations. Customers can use it as centralised data management as it provides a unified, centralised repository for business data, for enhanced automations by integrating structured data into UiPath workflows, for defining relationships between entities, and as further described in the Data Service documentation. This means that the data processed for providing the service differs depending on the automation workflows you implement and the data that you upload and manage, which may be, among others, data specific to the automation’s execution, industry specific data, or operational data.

We process telemetry such as usage data along with user and account identifiers like account IDs, tenant IDs, or user e-mail addresses to make sure that our platforms operate smoothly and to optimize the user experience based on the feedback and usage patterns we observe. We use data analytics to measure and evaluate the performance of our services.

We process account information such as username, and password in order to provide you with access to the services and to secure your account.

We may process data that you send to us for support or as necessary for troubleshooting issues, in accordance with our Support terms.

Data storage

Data is stored when using this product as selected by you and in accordance with our Data Residency page.

Customer data which is present inside entities is stored in the Azure SQL database at the backend in the same region of your tenant, so all encryption provided by Azure is automatically applied.

Integration with generative AI services

Data Service does not have any integration with generative AI services at the infrastructure layer.

Safeguards

We employ the following safeguards in achieving the purposes previously described:

  • Customers can delete the data.
  • Customer data is deleted upon request.
  • Customer data that is stored in the entity is displayed in the user interface, and communications are secured with the HTTPS protocol.
  • Customer data is encrypted. Access is strictly limited, and any access is logged and audited.
