Overview
Use of customer data with Insights
- Provide our services
Insights analytics processes large volumes of data in order for customers to analyze their production processes and entities. These data are processed only for displaying the analytics to customers within our product offering. Furter information regarding the use of Insights is available in the About Insights page from the Insights user guide.
We process telemetry such as usage data along with user and account identifiers like account IDs or tenant IDs to make sure our platforms operate smoothly and to optimize the user experience based on the feedback and usage patterns we observe. We use data analytics to measure and evaluate the performance of our services.
We process account information such as username, password, etc. in order to provide you with access to the services and to secure your account.
We may process data that you send to us for support or as necessary for troubleshooting issues, in accordance with our Support terms.
Data is stored when using this product as selected by you and in accordance with our Data Residency page, available in the Automation Cloud admin guide. Our data residency for Insights follows the documentation except for one use case. Licensing data is replicated across regions so that we can display data in a tenant that is on a different region than the organization.
Insights does not have any integration with generative AI services at the infrastructure layer.
- Customer data is only retained for two years by default, and five years dependant on SKUs.
- Customer data is deleted upon request.
- Customer data is encrypted. Access is strictly limited, and any access is logged and audited.
