Release Notes
2023.10.5
Release date: 27 September 2024
Support for Legacy Apps, the previous generation of Apps that used the Legacy (non-Visual Basic) language, will be gradually removed in the near future. You can use the VB migration tool to facilitate the migration of Legacy Apps.
For more information, see Migrating legacy apps to VB expressions.
The phased deprecation plan for Legacy Apps is as follows:
You no longer have the option to create new Legacy Apps (you can still edit, clone, and import Legacy Apps) |
October 2024 (2024.10) |
Legacy Apps and their runtime are removed (end-of-support). |
October 2025 (2025.10) |
Starting with the 2024.10 release in October 2024, you can no longer create new Legacy Apps in Automation Suite. You can still edit, clone, and import any existing Legacy Apps. As such, we recommend that you plan your migration accordingly.
Starting with the 2025.10 release in October 2025, Legacy Apps and their associated runtime will be removed and no longer supported.
As part of our customer commitment, we will continue to provide bug fixes for core features until end-of-support.
We understand the importance of this transition and are here to support you throughout the migration process. Keep in mind that Legacy Apps features in versions of Automation Suite prior to 2024.10 will function as-is.
We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
For more information, see the Deprecation timeline in the Overview guide.
