Process Mining

From data to dashboard

This page describes the steps to roll out a customized version of a process app to business users. It starts with the creating a new app and covers all the steps needed to provide the data in a meaningful way to end-users.

Important :

Make sure you have the required permissions. See Setting up the users and Managing access for process apps.

Development lifecycle

The following image provides a schematic overview of the development lifecycle of a process app.

Step 1. Create a new app

In the Process Mining portal, go to the Development tab and create a new process app.

Remarque :

For performance and security reasons, it is strongly recommended to use a small dataset for development. Refer to Development tab for more information on using a development dataset.

Step 2. Edit the dashboards

After creating a process app, you can edit the dashboards to customize the process app to your business needs. The dashboard editor provides various options to create different views, and to organize, group, and filter data. Refer to Working with the dashboard editor for more information on editing dashboards and charts.

Optionally, with Process manager you can update the process model type or import a BPMN model. Refer to Process manager for details.

Furthermore, with Automation manager, you can manage and configure automations connected to Process Mining. Refer to Automation manager for details.

Step 3. Edit the data transformations

Edit and test the data transformations to make sure the data used in the process app reflects your business process correctly. With Data transformations, you can view and edit the data model and customize the data used for Process Mining. The data preview panel helps you check if the data looks as expected. Refer to Data transformations for details.

With Data manager, you have the ability to edit data fields, add or modify metrics, change the display names used within your app, and manage their visibility. Refer to Data manager for details.

Step 4. Publish the process app

You can use the Preview option to see how your changes to the process app will look in end-user mode before publishing any alterations.

When you have finished the customization of the process app, you can publish the process app to make the changes available to end users. Refer to Publishing process apps for details.

Step 5. Upload data

Upload production data for the published process app. Refer to Loading data for a detailed description of the different options for uploading data.

Your process app is now available for business users to use and analyze the data incorporated within the process app. Refer to Working with process apps for more information on the actions users can perform with process apps.

Modèles d'applications

Extracting and loading data

Lorsque vous créez une nouvelle application de processus, vous devez charger des données avant de pouvoir publier l'application de processus. Vous pouvez également charger des données pour une application de processus déjà publiée. Vous pouvez utiliser un exemple de jeu de données, télécharger un jeu de données avec .csv ou charger des données à l'aide d'un extracteur.

Editing data transformations

Des transformations sont appliquées aux données stockées dans la base de données pour s'assurer que les données respectent un schéma de données pouvant être chargé dans l'application de processus Process Mining. Dans Process Mining, vous pouvez personnaliser les transformations pour les adapter à votre schéma de données. Consultez Transformations de données.

Personnaliser les applications de processus

Éditeur de tableau de bord

Après avoir créé une application de processus, vous pouvez modifier ses tableaux de bord afin de personnaliser l'application de processus en fonction des besoins de votre entreprise. L'éditeur de tableau de bord propose diverses options pour créer différentes vues et organiser, regrouper et filtrer les données.

Data Manager

The Data manager enables you to customize the data used in your process app. With Data manager, you can edit data fields and metrics to change the display names used in your app. Besides, you can toggle fields to be visible or not.

Transformations de données

With the inline editor, you can edit the Data transformations of your app directly in the browser. This means you do no longer have to export and import your transformations. Once you are done editing, you can run your customized transformations from the inline transformations editor.

Analyse des causes profondes

With Root cause analysis, you can compare the influence of case properties on a certain behavior to find significant data influencers for specific process situations. A set of cases is defined based on the period filter. This selection is called Reference cases. Within this set of cases, you can select the behavior that you want to analyze. Comparing process paths

En mode Comparaison , vous pouvez comparer deux ensembles de chemins de votre processus. Cela vous permet de visualiser, de comparer et d'analyser les performances d'un processus et ses variations. Voir Comparer.

Simulating automations

Le tableau de bord Potentiel d'automatisation (Automation Potential) vous permet de voir les économies potentielles pour les activités de votre processus. Par exemple, si vous déterminez une activité comme goulot d'étranglement dans le graphique de processus, vous pouvez calculer l'impact de l'automatisation de l'activité. Managing access control for process apps

The Admin console module enables you to manage access by assigning roles to users or groups. The permissions model allows you to integrate all your employees using Process Mining based on your business requirements.
