Process Mining

上次更新日期 2025年9月18日

Loading data using the UiPath data extractor (Preview)

The UiPath on-premises data extractor enables secure extraction of data from on-premises SAP systems, and loads it into the Process Mining Cloud environment. The on-premises data extractor is particularly valuable for organizations that cannot expose internal systems to the internet due to security or compliance requirements.

Using the on-premises data extractor eliminates the need for third-party extraction tools for accessing SAP, on-premises databases, and file systems. It also provides tight integration with Process Mining Cloud, allowing you to configure extractions directly from the cloud interface, while the on-premises data extractor handles secure, local execution and data transfer.

Note: The UiPath data extractor is currently supported only on Microsoft Windows operating systems (64-Bit).

安全性

UiPath has an established process for security and compliance that comes with strict security scans and resolution SLA’s. UiPath is certified in its SOC-2 compliance and has completed FedRamp authorization.

SAP credentials, when entered using the on-premises data extractor, are stored locally in encrypted JSON format and are used by the underlying Theobald Xtract service to connect to SAP and trigger the appropriate RFC calls.

Refer to Data security and compliance in the Automation Cloud guide for more information.

SAP connectivity

The UiPath data extractor connects to SAP through an embedded service called Xtract Core, provided by Theobald Software. The UPath data extractor securely passes SAP credentials to the Xtract service, which then initiates the connection to the SAP system and retrieves the required data.

Process Mining Cloud connectivity

UiPath natively supports connecting external applications to Automation Cloud via OAuth apps. The on-premise data extractor must be registered as an external application in the Automation Cloud organization. Once the on-premise data extractor is registered as an external application, it will use the credentials token to establish connectivity with the Automation Cloud and will send outbound messages to Process Mining.

Refer to OAuth apps in the Automation Cloud guide for more information.

Note: There are no inbound requests from Process Mining cloud IPs to the UiPath data extractor or on-premises environment.
