Licensing
You can enable Communications Mining as a service, in Automation Cloud, if you meet the following two pre-requisites:
- You have an Enterprise Automation Cloud license.
- Your Automation Cloud organisation has available AI units (i.e. >0).
- If you do not currently have an Enterprise licence, contact your Account Manager for available Enterprise Trials.
- If you have an Enterprise license, butno AI units available, contact your Account Manager to purchase some.
The AI Units section in the Consumables tab, from the Licenses page, displays the consumption entitlement (AI Units).
Go to the Automation Cloud navigation menu, then Admin:
# | Task | Responsible Role(s) |
1 | Gain access to the platform via Automation Cloud | Org Admin on Automation Cloud |
2 | Enable Communications Mining as a service on an Automation Cloud tenant | All users that require access |
3 | Create a project in Communications Mining* | Org Admin on Automation Cloud |
4 | Add applicable users to that project, and specify their permissions* | Org Admin on Automation Cloud |
Once you complete these steps, an admin can add the data source(s), create the dataset on Communications Mining, and you can start training your model.
Usage of Communications Mining is measured through the consumption of AI units.
In Communications Mining, AI units will be charged for uploading data into the platform, at the rate of 1 AI unit per created message (i.e. a comment in the API), such as an email, or per updated message if its text was modified.
As Communications Mining models continuously retrain and predictions automatically update, users are not charged on a per prediction basis, but per message.
You will be charged AI units at the rate of 1 per message for the following operations:
- Uploading data into the platform via the API
- Uploading comments or raw emails (sync and sync-raw-email routes)
- Fetching predictions for comments or raw emails that are not in the platform (predict and predict-raw-email routes)
- Uploading data into the platform via the CLI
- Uploading data into the platform via integrations
- Syncing emails via the Exchange Integration
- Syncing Salesforce objects via the Salesforce Integration
- Uploading data into the platform via the platform UI
Once uploaded, messages can be stored in Communications Mining with no additional charge for a period of 2 years.
