Pasos de configuración

Following the steps on this page enables you to build native selectors for applications and desktops virtualized through VMware Horizon and build your automation projects using UIAutomation activities and recording wizards.

Requisitos de instalación

To generate native selectors for VMware Horizon, the following components are required:

• Studio v2019.12 o posterior en la máquina cliente para instalar la Extensión para VMware Horizon.
• La máquina cliente tiene que tener el cliente VMware Horizon 3.4 o superior.
• Para escritorios VMware Horizon hace falta tener instalado el agente VMware Horizon 7.0.0 o superior en el servidor.
• Agente VMware Horizon 7.1.0 o superior en el servidor para las aplicaciones VMware Horizon.

Nota:

The following VMware Horizon Client types are not supported:

• Cliente VMware Horizon para Windows 10 UWP
• Cliente web de VMware Horizon HTML Access

Configurar el cliente

1. Open UiPath Studio.
2. Ve a Inicio > Herramientas > Extensiones de UiPath
3. Selecciona VMware Horizon > Instalar. Se mostrará un cuadro de diálogo de confirmación.

Result: The UiPath Extension for VMware Horizon is installed.

If UiPath Studio is not installed on the client machine and only the UiPath Robot is present, you can install the UiPath Extension for VMware Horizon from the Command Prompt. To learn more, refer to Extension for VMware Horizon.

Configurar el servidor

1. Descarga el instalador UiPathRemoteRuntime.msi desde:
   • Descargas de productos en el Customer Portal de UiPath.
   • Download Center in the UiPath Automation Cloud.
2. Instala UiPathRemoteRuntime.msi en las máquinas virtuales de VMware donde se ejecutan las aplicaciones que se van a automatizar.

Adding the UiPath virtual channel to the allow list policy

By default, standard virtual channels (such as audio, clipboard, and printing) are enabled. To enable a custom virtual channel such as the UiPath virtual channel, you must add the channel to the allow list policy.

1. Follow the Omnissa (formerly VMware) instructions to enable and configure the allow list policy:

   • Enabling Virtual Channel Allow List in Horizon Agent
   • Adding a Virtual Channel to the Allow List in Horizon Agent

2. Add the following value to the allow list policy:

   UIPRDP,C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath\RemoteRuntime\UiPathRemoteRuntime.exe

Importante:

After you install the UiPath Remote Runtime and the UiPath Extension for VMware Horizon, restart your active VMware Horizon connections for the changes to take effect.

Updating project dependencies

Los selectores nativos para las tecnologías VMware solo se habilitarán si añades el paquete UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities v19.12 o superior como dependencia para tu proyecto.

1. In UiPath Studio, open the Package Manager.
2. En el panel de Dependencias del proyecto, seleccionar el paquete UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities.
3. Ensure that the selected package version is v19.12 or greater. If it is not, select the correct version from the drop-down and select Update.
4. Select Save to update your dependencies.

You can now generate native selectors for VMware technologies.
