To use UI Automation on macOS, you must grant UiPath Assistant the required permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

UiPath Assistant requires the following permissions:

• Accessibility — to automate desktop applications or to use the Hardware Events input mode.
• Screen Recording — to take screenshots of the target UI elements.
• Full Disk Access — to work with files on disk.

Nota:

• El permiso de Grabación de pantalla no es obligatorio. Si no se establece este permiso, la solución funciona, pero con funcionalidad limitada. Podrá indicar, pero no se tomarán capturas de pantalla informativas, y no podrá utilizar Computer Vision.
• Even when Screen Recording permission is granted, macOS security policies may inform the user that the entire screen is being captured by UiPath Assistant. For more information, refer to Known issues.

Grant the permissions

To grant UiPath Assistant the required permissions, take the following steps:

1. Selecciona Configuración del sistema en el menú Apple .
2. Selecciona Privacidad y seguridad.
3. Select Accessibility.
4. Haz una de las siguientes cosas:
   • If UiPath Assistant is already listed, turn the toggle on.
   • If UiPath Assistant does not appear in the list:
     1. Select the + button.
     2. Search for UiPath Assistant and select it.
     3. Selecciona Abrir.
     4. Make sure the UiPath Assistant application is listed and the toggle is on.
5. Return to Privacy & Security and select Screen & System Audio Recording.
6. Enable UiPath Assistant in the list.
7. Return to Privacy & Security and select Full Disk Access.
8. Enable UiPath Assistant in the list.
9. Changing any of these permissions require a UiPath Assistant restart.

Problemas conocidos

Even when Screen Recording permission is granted, macOS security policies may inform the user that the entire screen is being captured by UiPath Assistant.

This pop-up may appear at design time when building UI automations that save screenshots. In this case, the user can close the alert. However, this could also affect automations at runtime when using the Take Screenshot activity.

The best solution is to disable the screen capture alert pop-up on macOS through an MDM configuration: set the Force bypass screen capture alert setting to On in your configuration profile. Use a device management service that supports this restriction. For more information, refer to Device management restrictions for Mac computers.
