Group Policy conflict

Wenn Sie die UiPath-Erweiterung für Edge mithilfe einer Gruppenrichtlinie installieren, wird die ExtensionInstallForcelist auf Maschinenebene aktualisiert.

Dies kann zu einem Konflikt führen, wenn die ExtensionInstallForcelist auch auf Benutzerebene definiert ist.

Because the machine level has priority, the extensions set at the user/cloud level are uninstalled.

Um dies zu bestätigen, überprüfen Sie bei edge://policy, ob diese Warnung unter ExtensionInstallForcelist angezeigt wird:

More than one source with conflicting values is present for this policy!

Lösung

To solve this conflict, follow these steps:

1. Install the UiPath extension for Edge using the NativeHostOnly installation method.

   This installation method enables communication between the extension and Studio/Robot.

   Es werden keine Änderungen an den Gruppenrichtlinien vorgenommen.

   Um diese Installationsmethode zu verwenden, fügen Sie EDGE_INSTALL_TYPE=NativeHostOnly zum Installationsbefehl für UiPathStudio.msi hinzu. Beispiel: UiPathStudio.msi ADDLOCAL=DesktopFeature,Studio,Robot,RegisterService,EdgeExtension EDGE_INSTALL_TYPE=NativeHostOnly.
2. In the ExtensionInstallForcelist policy, add the value:
   1. For the Group Policy Online installation method (that installs the extension from Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store): dknkgjgkdpkmddgdjlgdhfojlaehikmk;https://edge.microsoft.com/extensionwebstorebase/v1/crx
   2. For the Group Policy Offline installation method (that installs the self-hosted extension): ndmegdjihnhfmljjoaiimbipfhodnbgf;file:///C:/ProgramData/UiPath/UiPath.Common/EdgeExtension_SelfHosted/extension_manifest_edge.xml
3. In the NativeMessagingAllowlist policy, add the value: com.uipath.chromenativemsg_v2.
4. Legen Sie die DeveloperToolsAvailability-Gruppenrichtlinie auf den Wert 1 (Verwendung der Entwicklertools zulassen) fest.
