Step 2: Configuring Azure DevOps connection

Configure the connection settings in Test Manager and the UiPath Azure DevOps Extension to link your Azure DevOps project with Test Manager.

An Azure DevOps connection links a Test Manager project to your Azure DevOps project.

Setting up an Azure DevOps connection

The connection uses the Azure DevOps server URL and a personal access token, and it is completed in the UiPath® Azure DevOps Extension.

Requisitos previos

• A Test Manager administrator account.
• To save the UiPath® Test Manager extension on Azure DevOps, you must be an Azure Administrator user.

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.

2. Abra su proyecto.

3. Navigate to Project Settings > Integration.

4. Selecciona Nueva conexión y selecciona Azure DevOps de la lista desplegable.

5. Configura los siguientes ajustes de conexión:

   • Name: Enter a name for your Azure DevOps connection.

   • Descripción (opcional): añade una descripción como referencia.

   • Server URL: Add the Azure DevOps server URL. For example: https://company-name-serverRegion.cloudapp.azure.com.

   • Personal Access Token: Create a personal access token (PAT) and paste it into this field to authorize Test Manager to perform actions.

     ADVERTENCIA:

     When you create the Azure DevOps connection, the PAT needs full access to Azure DevOps services: select Full access under Scopes when you create or edit a PAT. After the connection is finished, you can reduce the PAT scopes to : Test Management - Read & Write, and Work Items - Read & Write. For more information, see Use personal access tokens.

   • Defect Type: Enter an object type used for bug reporting in Azure DevOps. Otherwise, leave empty if you do not want to use defect integration. Enter a defect type based on what object type you have selected for your newly created Azure DevOps project. For example: Bug or Issue.

   • Project Name: Enter your Azure DevOps project name.

   

6. Selecciona la conexión para expandir el panel y copiar la Clave API para su uso posterior.

7. Open your project in Azure DevOps and go to Project settings.

8. En Extensiones, ve a UiPath® Test Manager.

9. Configura las siguientes opciones de extensión:

   • Requirement Types: Select the types of objects you want to assign a test to. These show up as requirements in Test Manager. For more information, see Requirements.
   • URL del servidor: añade la URL de Test Manager. La URL debe tener el siguiente formato: https://cloud.uipath.com/{organizationName}/{tenantName}/testmanager_.
   • API: Paste the API key.
   • Manage Tests with Azure DevOps: Select this option to manage your tests through Azure DevOps. Otherwise, leave this option off, to manage your tests through Test Manager.

10. Selecciona Guardar.

    

Resultado

The Azure DevOps project is connected to Test Manager, with the connection configured in Test Manager and the extension settings saved in Azure DevOps.

Editing an Azure DevOps connection

Editing a connection changes the settings of an existing Azure DevOps connection.

Requisitos previos

• A Test Manager administrator account.
• An existing Azure DevOps connection.

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.
2. Abra su proyecto.
3. Selecciona el botón Configuración para abrir la Configuración del proyecto.
4. En la lista Integración, selecciona una conexión de Azure DevOps para expandir el panel.
5. Selecciona Editar para configurar la conexión.
6. Selecciona Guardar para confirmar.

Resultado

The Azure DevOps connection settings are updated with your changes.

Deleting an Azure DevOps connection

Deleting a connection removes it together with its associated requirements.

Requisitos previos

An existing Azure DevOps connection.

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.
2. Abra su proyecto.
3. Selecciona el botón Configuración para abrir la Configuración del proyecto.
4. En la lista Integración, selecciona una conexión de Azure DevOps para expandir el panel.
5. Selecciona Eliminar para eliminar la conexión.
6. Selecciona Aceptar para confirmar.

Resultado

The Azure DevOps connection and its associated requirements are removed from your project.
