Configuring Redmine connection

Set up, edit, or delete a Redmine connection to synchronize requirements and report defects between Test Manager and Redmine.

A Redmine connection synchronizes requirements from Redmine to Test Manager and lets you create Redmine defects directly from test results in Test Manager.

Setting up a Redmine connection

Setting up the connection links your Test Manager project to your Redmine instance, using the server details, credentials, and tracker settings, to enable requirement synchronization and defect reporting.

Context

• El nombre y la descripción de una incidencia que creas en Redmine se sincroniza como requisito en Test Manager.
• Los requisitos sincronizados en Test Manager son de solo lectura, aparte de los archivos adjuntos, las etiquetas de los objetos o los enlaces a tus casos de prueba.
• No es posible eliminar los requisitos sincronizados en Test Manager.

Requisitos previos

• Cuenta de Redmine en la nube o en el servidor.
• Cuenta de administrador de Test Manager.
• Proyecto redmine

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.

2. Abra su proyecto.

3. Navigate to Project Settings > Integration.

4. Selecciona Nueva conexión y selecciona Redmine del menú desplegable.

5. Configura los siguientes ajustes de conexión:

   • Name: Enter a name for your Redmine connection.
   • Description(Optional): Add a description for reference.
   • Server Url: Add the endpoint server URL. For example: https://company-name-redmine.azurewebsites.net.
   • Project Identifier: Enter the project identifier from Redmine.
   • User: The username you use to authenticate to Redmine.
   • Password: The password you use to authenticate to Redmine.
   • Intervalo de sondeo: establece el marco de tiempo para obtener información de defectos y requisitos a través de Redmine. De forma predeterminada, el valor está establecido en 60 segundos.    • Fetch Trackers: Select this option to retrieve trackers.
   • Defect Tracker: Set the tracker for which you want to synchronize items with Test Manager. You can choose only one option.
   • Requirements Trackers: Set the requirements that you want to synchronize. You can choose multiple requirements.

6. Selecciona Guardar para confirmar.

   

Resultado

Se crea la conexión de Redmine y se sincronizan los requisitos de Redmine a Test Manager.Los defectos creados en Test Manager se sincronizan con Redmine con el seguimiento de defectos configurado.

Editing a Redmine connection

Editing a connection changes the settings of an existing Redmine connection.

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.
2. Abra su proyecto.
3. Go to Project Settings.
4. In the Integration tab, select the Redmine connection to expand the panel.
5. Selecciona Editar para configurar la conexión.
6. Selecciona Guardar para confirmar.

Resultado

The Redmine connection is updated with the new settings you configured.

Deleting a Redmine connection

Deleting a connection removes the selected connection together with its associated requirements.

Pasos

1. Inicia sesión en Test Manager como administrador.
2. Abra su proyecto.
3. Go to Project Settings.
4. In the Integration tab, select the Redmine connection to expand the panel.
5. Selecciona Eliminar para eliminar la conexión.
6. Selecciona Aceptar para confirmar.

Resultado

The Redmine connection and its associated requirements are deleted.
