Recording failed queue transactions

Processes that do not succeed because of failed queue transactions can now be recorded for debugging purposes. This option, named Record and store failed queue transactions, is enabled at the process level, from the Video section of the Job recording setting.

Its output can be rendered directly in Orchestrator, within the queue transaction itself.

Transaction reviewer column

The transaction Reviewer column now includes the name, surname, and email address of the reviewer.

External app assignments

The user interface items pertaining to account and group assignments have been updated so as to reflect the fact that external apps can also be assigned. Specifically, Assign account/group is now Assign account/group/external app.

Faulted job info limitation

The storage space dedicated to the exception information we store when a job is faulted is now limited to 42 KB.

Queue item retry related field changes

As announced last week, we are making some queue items changes that include adding the following additional fields:

  • ManualRetryNumber

  • ManualAncestorId

  • ManualAncestorUniqueKey

  • UniqueKey

  • AncestorUniqueKey

The objective is to complete the traceability of queue item retries. All existing fields will remain in place, and will be used for automatic retries.

Libraries feeds split view

When it comes to your libraries, you have a choice to use host feeds, tenant feeds, or both. Based on what you choose, the Libraries page of the tenant's Packages menu is populated with your feed list. Up until now, though, this view was limited if you chose to use both host and tenant feeds. Now, when you select said option, the Libraries page is split into Tenant and Host, with each section displaying its corresponding feeds.

Erratum - 19 October 2023: This feature was disabled on 17 October due to an issue. We are working on reenabling it soon.

Queue item fields changes

We are choosing an alternate way to cover the improvement we announced in July, by reverting the use of the Key field, such that it becomes the same across the entire retry hierarchy.

This will soon be followed by a more comprehensive implementation.

Invalid characters in queue names

Exporting queue transactions did not succeed if the queue name contained invalid characters (\ / : * ? " < > |). This is now fixed by replacing invalid characters with _, thus allowing queue items to be exported.

When can I see these changes?

The date when a change is first announced in the release notes is the date when it first becomes available.

If you don't see the change yet, you can expect to see it soon, after we roll out changes to all the regions.

Deprecation timeline

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
