New API audit monitoring tab

Important:

This feature is currently available as a preview.

The tenant-level Monitoring window now includes a brand new tab dedicated to your API usage, aptly named API audit. It measures the number of calls made to GetAll - Jobs and QueueItems endpoints over the last 30 days, with the ability to drill down into the details of each day for more insight.
The API audit tab supports the newly implemented framework around rate limits, the details of which are available on the Rate limits page. It allows you to keep a close watch on your usage and make sure that you stay within the safe limits, namely 100 API requests per minute, per tenant.

Introducing the video timeline

We are taking our video recording feature up a notch with the new Video timeline tab, which combines the power of a visual record with that of underlying logs. This is an important step forward towards simple and efficient troubleshooting.

This tab is available in the details side panel of any job that has the video recording option enabled, and it provides you with a host of advantages, such as:

  • Clicking a log item to jump to that timestamp in the video (1)
  • Filtering the logs list by severity or via the search field (2)
  • Downloading logs (3)
  • Downloading the video (4)
  • Viewing the raw details of each log item (5)

Removing large data fields for Community and Canary tenants

The time has come to roll out a change that we have announced in December 2023, and that we are certain will prove highly beneficial for your performance: the removal of specific data fields from GetAll - Jobs and QueueItems endpoint responses. This is now enabled for Community and Canary tenants, and you can find out the specifics by going through the dedicated Removal of large data fields topic.

If you are an Enterprise user, we encourage you to test out your processes in Canary tenants, in preparation for July 2024, when this removal will also be applied for you. In the meantime, if you notice any unwanted changes within your regular tenants (i.e. non-Canary), please get in touch with our product support team.

Security vulnerability fix

We have fixed an issue with the permissions for exporting queues. An authenticated user who has access to one or more queues within a folder may be able to export data from all queues in their tenant instead of only the ones they have permissions for. The issue does not allow access to other tenants or other organizations.

For details, see the security advisory.

Frequency selector news

If you've noticed any hiccups around the time trigger frequency selector when trying to edit it, it was not you, it was us. We came across an issue that determined us to revert the implementation. It is now addressed, and it is being rolled out again, so you will once again benefit from the new experience.

Additionally, our client-side cron expression validation was improved, and some previously configured expressions may need adjustments to pass when the time trigger is edited. Don’t worry, though, as this does not affect the runtime logic already in place.

Changes to user-specific fields

We have made a couple of changes that should make for a cleaner user-related experience:
  • The First Name and Last Name fields in the user editing window have been replaced with a single field: Full Name.
  • Consequently, the First Name and Last Name columns have been removed from the tenant-level Manage access > Assign roles page.

Minor change to credential stores setup

If you have no valid credential store plugins installed, the Type field in the credential store configuration window is now empty, and the Create button is unavailable. This is a sign that you need to correct your plugin configuration before you are able to save your setup.

Retrieving Disconnected Proxy credentials

Note:

Erratum - Added April 1, 2024:

The System Activities pack version supporting this feature is actually 24.3.

The ability to retrieve disconnected proxy credentials is now embedded in the Get Credential System activity, version 24.4-preview.

Solutions Management is now GA

We are very happy to announce that Solutions Management is now generally available (GA). This brings a whole host of enhancements and features that you can read more about in the original release note.

When can I see these changes?

The date when a change is first announced in the release notes is the date when it first becomes available.

If you don't see the change yet, you can expect to see it soon, after we roll out changes to all the regions.

Deprecation timeline

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.
