Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces

Instalação da extensão

By installing the UiPath Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces you are capable of automating Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops natively. The extension can be installed from UiPath Studio or the Command Prompt.

Pré-requisitos

Before installing the extension, make sure to install the Amazon WorkSpaces client. The Install button is active only if Amazon WorkSpaces client is installed and only for the installation type that matches the Amazon Workspaces installation type.

You can choose to install the extension either for the current user or for all users. It is required to match the installation types, namely the extension installation type must correspond with the Amazon WorkSpaces client installation type. If the installation types do not match, the extension installation will fail.

Note: Amazon WorkSpaces supports configuration with either the WSP (WorkSpaces Streaming Protocol) or PCoIP (PC-over-IP) protocols. However, automation is currently available only for PCoIP. Therefore, please select a PCoIP bundle when creating a workspace.

A partir do UiPath Studio

1. Abra o UiPath Studio.
2. Navegue até Início > Ferramentas > Extensões da UiPath.
3. Under Amazon WorkSpaces, select the preferred installation type from the drop-down menu:
   • All Users to install the extension for all users of this machine. For this installation type, you must have local Administrator privileges and the Amazon WorkSpaces client needs to be installed for all users.
   • Current User to install the extension for the current user. For this installation type, you do not need local Administrator privileges, but Amazon WorkSpace client needs to be installed per user.
4. Select Install. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
5. Restart your Amazon WorkSpaces client for the changes to take effect.
6. The UiPath Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces is now installed and is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\UiPath\UiPath.Common\.

A partir do Prompt de Comando

1. Selecione o botão Iniciação do Windows e digite cmd no campo de pesquisa.
2. Clique com o botão direito do mouse no Prompt de Comando e execute-o como administrador.
3. Altere o diretório para a pasta de instalação UiPath:
   • cd C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\UiPath for per-machine Studio installations.
   • cd %localappdata%\Programs\UiPath\Studio\UiPath for per-user Studio installations.
4. Use the SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client command to install the extension per user or SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client-global to install it for all users (per machine). A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
5. Restart your Amazon Workspaces client for the changes to take effect.
6. The UiPath Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces is now installed.

To generate native selectors for Amazon WorkSpaces technologies, you also need to deploy the UiPath Remote Runtime component on all your Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops, as explained on this page.

Desinstalação da extensão

A partir do UiPath Studio

1. Close your running Amazon WorkSpaces client.
2. Abra o UiPath Studio.
3. Navegue até Início > Ferramentas > Extensões da UiPath.
4. Select Amazon WorkSpaces > Uninstall, and confirm your choice.
5. The extension is uninstalled for the selected installation type (All Users or Current User).

A partir do Prompt de Comando

1. Close all your running Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops.
2. Selecione o botão Iniciação do Windows e digite cmd no campo de pesquisa.
3. Clique com o botão direito do mouse no Prompt de Comando e execute-o como administrador.
4. Altere o diretório para a pasta de instalação UiPath:
   • cd C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\UiPath for per-machine Studio installations.

6. The UiPath Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces is now uninstalled.
