Adding dashboard level filters

Dashboard filters enable you to filter data from the tables before it is provided to the dashboard. With dashboard filters, you can create a subset of the data to create more specific visualizations that can be used by business users. When business users open a dashboard that contains dashboard filters, the dashboard will display data according to the filters.

When one or more filters are defined for a dashboard, the Dashboard filters icon Dashboard filters icon is displayed next to the dashboard name. Business users can select the icon, to view the applied dashboard filters.

Note:

Business users can still add global filters, which are applied on top of the dashboard level filters. But they cannot change the dashboard level filters.
