Constants

Instead of using a reference field, you can use a static value to calculate the field values. This static value or constant remains the same throughout the expression.

With a constant, you can enter a value used for the calculation of the expression. The following table describes the available types of constants.

Constant	Description
Text	A string of characters.
Decimal	A numerical value with decimal precision.
Percentage	A a ratio or a fraction of 100.
Currency	A monetary amount.
Duration	A span of time.
Datetime	A specific date.

Follow these steps to add a constant:

1. Drag and drop a constant to the applicable logic block on the canvas.

2. Enter the desired value for the constant.
