EKS/AKS の Automation Suite について

UiPath は、Automation Cloud に代わるオンプレミス版として 2021 年に Automation Suite を初めて導入しました。それ以来 Automation Suite の改良を続けた結果、完全な UiPath® オートメーション プラットフォームを、ユーザー独自のデータ センターやパブリック クラウドにある仮想マシン上の Linux ベア メタルにデプロイできるようになりました。

However, software solutions are not always one size fits all, and after carefully listening to your feedback, we understood the need for a new Automation Suite flavor. Meet Automation Suite on EKS/AKS, which allows you to deploy the platform to your Kubernetes clusters in Amazon Web Services (Elastic Kubernetes Service) or Microsoft Azure (Azure Kubernetes Service).

EKS/AKS の Automation Suite について

EKS/AKS の Automation Suite は、まったく新しいデプロイ アーキテクチャ、インフラストラクチャ管理、インストールと構成のエクスペリエンス、クラスター管理アプローチを実現します。その一方で、プラットフォーム管理、API、UI などの点では変更はありません。

つまり、同じ目的地に複数の経路で到達できます。Automation Suite の各フレーバーは異なるビジネス ニーズに応えるものなので、今後も両フレーバーを維持していきます。フレーバー間で同等の機能を提供することを目指していますが、2 つの間には違いがいくつかあります。

Automation Suite の新しいフレーバーの投入理由

その理由は、インフラストラクチャに対する広範な柔軟性と制御を必要とするユーザーがいるためであり、それを提供するのが EKS/AKS の Automation Suite です。

EKS/AKS の Automation Suite のスタックは、次の 3 つのレイヤーに分かれています。

• UiPath® managed - we manage the UiPath® services and other required components.
• Optional to install - think of it as the middle ground as this layer is made of components that we can install and manage for you, but which you can also take the reins of.
• Customer managed - you bring your Kubernetes, cache, and data source infrastructure.

つまり、お客様と UiPath とで責任を共有します。このモデルの主な利点は、既存のプロセスを活かしてインフラストラクチャ リソースを管理できるところです。

新しいインストール/構成エクスペリエンス

uipathctl is the single unified CLI tool that most operations revolve around in Automation Suite on EKS/AKS. You can run it on Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms to check prerequisites in your environment, install, configure, upgrade, or manage Automation Suite. For details, see uipathctl.

スタンドアロンから Automation Suite への新しい移行

スタンドアロンの Orchestrator から Automation Suite に移行する際の移行プロセスを改良しました。以前のバージョンの Automation Suite で使用されていた移行ツールが大きく改良されています。

ドキュメントの移動方法

Automation Suite のドキュメント内を移動する際のヒントとコツを以下に示します。

• The Automation Suite Release Notes Guide is split into two chapters, each for an Automation Suite flavor.
• Each Automation Suite flavor has a dedicated installation guide: Automation Suite Installation Guide and Automation Suite on EKS/AKS Installation Guide.
• The Automation Suite Admin Guide and Automation Suite API Guide are shared between the two Automation Suite flavors, with all the content being identical.

既知の問題

• 追記 (2024 年 10 月 17 日)

  プロキシ環境で、プロキシ サーバーが Istio サービス メッシュ内の他のサービスの TCP ポートと同じポート (ポート 8080 など) を使用している場合、ポッドは FQDN と通信できません。 この問題により、次のエラーが発生します。

  System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The proxy tunnel request to proxy 'http://<proxyFQDN>:8080/' failed with status code '404'.

• 追記 (2024 年 8 月 14 日)

  For AI Center and Task Mining, the ListBucket API prerequisite check fails when using an external objectstore. However, AI Center and Task Mining do not use the ListBucket API permission. We removed the unnecessary check in Automation Suite 2023.4.8.

  AKS の Automation Suite のインストールまたはアップグレードを行うと、Azure Government への接続に失敗し、バックアップの設定が機能しません。この問題を修正するには、EKS/AKS の Automation Suite のトラブルシューティングに関するこちらのページをご覧ください。

• 追記 (2024 年 4 月 19 日)

  An upgrade known issue affecting AKS causes Automation Suite to fail. When trying to upgrade AKS, the argocd-redis-ha-server pod is put in error state. If you encounter this issue, use the workaround documented in the Troubleshooting chapter. The issue no longer occurs in Automation Suite 2023.4.6.

• 追記 (2023 年 11 月 6 日)

  バージョン 2023.4.0 から 2023.4.2 では、Active Directory (AD) 統合環境を使用している場合、製品で散発的な障害が発生し、IIS アプリケーション プールが再起動します。この問題は v2023.4.3 で修正されていますが、前述のバージョンはいまだに影響を受けています。したがって、AD を使用する場合は、v2023.4.3 を直接インストールするか、v2023.4.3 にアップグレードすることを強くお勧めします。そうしないと、機能の問題が発生します。

• 既に Automation Suite を使用している場合、現在は EKS/AKS の Automation Suite に移行することはできません。

• Windows と macOS のバージョンの uipathctl バイナリは現在、uipath.com の証明書で署名されていません。Windows や macOS で uipathctl をダウンロードまたは実行しようとすると、警告が表示されることがあります。

• The health check on Automation Suite robots may fail. The "[POD_UNHEALTHY] Pod asrobots-migrations-cvzfn in namespace uipath is in Failed status" message may show up in your health check logs after manually installing Automation Suite on AKS. See the Troubleshooting section for more details.

• AKS/EKS クラスター上の Automation Suite の AI Center をデプロイする際に、(Automation Suite にバンドルされている、またはユーザー自身の) Prometheus をインストールしない場合、または独自の Prometheus を monitoring とは異なる名前空間にインストールする場合、次の機能はサポートされません。

  • ML スキルの予測数: 常に 0 と表示されます。
  • アイドル スキルのデプロイ自動解除
