Editing process apps

Introduction

If you have edit permission for a process app, you can edit the process app details. For example, you can change the name of the process app and/or the description.

You can access the process app details from the Actions menu in the All process app list in the Process Mining portal. It is also possible to open the process app details from any dashboard in the process app.

Editing a process app from the All process apps list

Follow these steps to edit the process app details.

  1. Open the Process Mining portal.
  2. Go to the Process apps tab and locate the app you want to edit in the All process apps list.
  3. Click on in the actions column of the process app you want to edit and select Settings.

    The App details page is displayed. See the illustration below for an example.

  4. Edit the app as described below.
  5. Click on Done to display the list of all process apps.

Editing a process app from a dashboard in the process app

Follow these steps to edit the process app details from an open process app.

  1. Click on Edit process app button at the top of the dashboard page. For example .

  2. Edit the app details as described below.
  3. Click on Done to display the list of all process apps.

Changing the name or description of the process app

Follow these steps to edit the name and/or the short description of the process app.

  1. Click on docs image.
  2. Edit the name or description as desired.

    The app name must be unique. If an app with the name you enter already exists for your tenant, a message is displayed, and the new name cannot be saved.

  3. Click on docs image to save the changes, or click on docs image to cancel the edit.

The icon is only enabled when the original name or description has changed.

Editing dashboards

You can edit the dashboards of the open process app to customize the process app to your business needs. You can directly open the Dashboard editor which provides various options to create different views, and to organize, group, and filter data.

Follow this step to open the dashboard editor.

  1. Click on the Edit application button in the App details page.

Click on Edit process app button at the top of the Dashboard editor page to return to the App details page of the app. For example .
