Compatibility matrix

Standalone

This matrix displays how standalone Orchestrator interacts with other products in the UiPath® platform. Unless otherwise specified, patches are inherently considered in this matrix.

Note:

The tables highlight the technical compatibility between products. While two versions may be compatible, some features might have strict product version requirements. For instance, certain features of Orchestrator 2023.10 may not function on 2022.4 Robots.

Some versions are no longer supported. Refer to the product lifecycle for more information. An unsupported version remains compatible with a supported version only until the next patch is released. For example, Orchestrator 2021.4, which is currently out of support, is only compatible with AI Center 2021.10 until the next patch release after the out of support date of Orchestrator.

Note:

Unsupported versions are removed from the compatibility matrix six months after their support ends.

UiPath Process Mining and Task Capture work as standalone products and do not require a compatibility matrix. Even so, for the best experience, the following requirements must be met:

• For Process Mining and Automation Hub on-premises integration, both Process Mining and Automation Hub need to be at least 2021.4 or above.
• To run Task Capture from Automation Hub in Automation Cloud ^TM, Task Capture needs to be at least 2020.10.4 or above.
• To run Task Capture from Test Manager, Task Capture needs to be at least 2020.4 or above.
• To run Task Capture from Task Mining, Task Capture needs to be at least 2021.10 or above.
• To run Task Capture from UiPath Assistant, both Task Capture and UiPath Assistant need to be at least 2021.10 or above.

Studio & Standalone Orchestrator

Important:

• Studio and Robot always need to have the same version when installed on the same machine. For example, if you have Studio 2022.4.x installed, Robot must be 2022.4.x as well. It is usually recommended to first upgrade your Orchestrator and then your Robots. In this scenario, the Robots have to be reconnected to Orchestrator after the update.

• Automation projects created in Studio version 2021.10.6 and newer that have Windows and Cross-Platform compatibility cannot run on of robots older than 2021.10.6 because of the .NET version discrepancy.

1. You need Orchestrator and Robots 2021.10+ to execute Windows and cross-platform processes (.NET 5).

Automation Suite

Products in Automation Suite are delivered as part of a single bundle and always have their versions in sync. See Automation Suite components in the Automation Suite guide for details on the products that are part of the suite.

Note: UiPath guarantees backwards compatibility between two consecutive released versions of the UiPath on-premises products (standalone and Automation Suite). Breaking changes, if any, will be reflected in this compatibility matrix. If backwards compatibility between two consecutive LTS versions cannot be guaranteed, UiPath may assist you in the migration process.

Robot, Studio & Orchestrator in Automation Suite

The below matrix provides information about the interoperability between Automation Suite Orchestrator and Robot and Studio. Patches are implicitly supported in this matrix unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

Apps & Orchestrator in Automation Suite

Automation Suite Apps and Automation Suite Orchestrator are compatible because they share the same version. However, running cloud-built apps in the Automation Suite Orchestrator is not supported.

Theses matrices shows the support for compatibility between Automation Cloud™ Orchestrator and the Robot, Studio, and Apps . Unless otherwise stated, patches are included.

Important:

We ensure backward compatibility with the three latest enterprise Robot and Studio releases. If you are currently using the third-latest Robot version, you should make arrangements to upgrade the Robot before we release the next Robot version, to avoid compatibility issues.

Automation projects

Projects created with alpha or beta Studio versions might not be compatible with newer Studio builds, nor can they be executed by newer Robots.

We support backward compatibility, except for breaking changes announced in the official release notes, and following the product lifecycle.

Newer Robots can execute projects created with older versions of Studio. For example, a project created with Studio 2023.4 should work on a 2024.10 Robot or newer.

We do not support forward compatibility. Projects compiled (published) with newer versions of Studio or the UiPath Command Line Interface (CLI) might not work with older Robots. For example, a project created in Studio 2024.10 might not work with a 2023.4 Robot.
