Permission Management

Control which users can edit and run an app.

For each app, permissions can be granted at the application level. There are three permission levels for each app:

  1. Allow all users of the organization to run this application
  2. Allow specific users the ability to run the application
  3. Allow specific users the ability to collaborate on the application

Allow all users of the organization to run this application

Enabling this feature will allow any user that is a member of the organization the ability to run the app.

Note:

Permissions to any automations the app depend on still need to be managed via Orchestrator.

  1. Navigate to the app homescreen by clicking on the app name at the top of the left-hand panel.
  2. Click on the Permissions tab.
  3. Flip the toggle at the top of the page to "Allow all users of the organization to run this application".

The application needs to be published for the permission changes to take effect.

Allow specific users to run the application

  1. Navigate to the app homescreen by clicking on the app name at the top of the left hand panel.
  2. Click on the Permissions tab.
  3. Click on Add User button.
  4. Type in the user's name in the Search People textbox.
  1. Set role to "User (can run)".

Add a user by clicking on the Add User button and searching for the user in the Add a user dialog. Make sure the role is set to User.

Allow specific users the ability to collaborate on the application

  1. Navigate to the app homescreen by clicking on the app name at the top of the left hand panel.
  2. Click on the Permissions tab.
  3. Click on Add User button.
  4. Type in the user's name in the Search People textbox.
  1. Set role to "Co-Author (can edit and run)".

Add a collaborator by clicking on the Add User button and searching for the user in the Add a user dialog. Make sure the role is set to Co-Author.

You can only suggest edits to Markdown body content, but not to the API spec.
