Installieren der Erweiterung

The UiPath Extension allows you to automate Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops natively. The extension can be installed from UiPath Studio or the Command Prompt.

Voraussetzungen

Before installing the extension, make sure to install the Amazon WorkSpaces client.

You can choose to install the extension either for the current user or for all users. The installation types must match, namely, the extension installation type must match the Amazon WorkSpaces client installation type. If the installation types do not match, the extension installation will fail.

Hinweis:

Amazon WorkSpaces can be configured with either the PCoIP (PC-over-IP) or the DCV (Desktop Cloud Visualization) protocol.

• Automating Amazon WorkSpaces using PCoIP requires UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities, UiPath Studio, and UiPath Remote Runtime v24.10 or higher.

• Automating Amazon WorkSpaces using DCV requires UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities, UiPath Studio, and UiPath Remote Runtime v25.2 or higher.

Configuring the extension for DCV

To configure the extension for a DCV group policy, refer to Manage Group Policy settings for DCV in the Amazon WorkSpace documentation.

Once you enable the group policy, the following Windows registry keys are written:

You can also configure extensions from a permissions file, by referencing the following features:

• extensions-client - Allows you to start the installed extensions on the Amazon DCV client.

• extensions-server - Allows you to start the installed extensions on the Amazon DCV server.

Aus UiPath Studio

1. Öffnen Sie UiPath Studio.
2. Navigate to Backstage View > Tools > UiPath Extensions.
3. Wählen Sie unter Amazon WorkSpaces den bevorzugten Installationstyp aus dem Dropdownmenü aus:
   • Alle Benutzer für die Installation der Erweiterung für alle Benutzer dieser Maschine. Für diesen Installationstyp müssen Sie über lokale Administratorrechte verfügen und der Amazon WorkSpaces-Client muss für alle Benutzer installiert sein.
   • Aktueller Benutzer zum Installieren der Erweiterung für den aktuellen Benutzer. Für diesen Installationstyp benötigen Sie keine lokalen Administratorrechte, aber der Amazon WorkSpace-Client muss pro Benutzer installiert sein.
4. Wählen Sie Installieren aus. Ein Bestätigungsdialogfeld wird angezeigt.
5. Starten Sie Ihren Amazon WorkSpaces-Client neu, damit die Änderungen wirksam werden.
6. Die UiPath-Erweiterung für Amazon WorkSpaces ist jetzt installiert und befindet sich unter C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\UiPath\UiPath.Common\.

Aus der Eingabeaufforderung

1. Wählen Sie die Windows Start-Schaltfläche aus und geben Sie cmd in das Suchfeld ein.
2. Right click Command Prompt and run it as administrator.
3. Ändern Sie das Verzeichnis in den UiPath-Installationsordner:
   • cd C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\UiPath für Studio-Installationen pro Maschine.
   • cd %localappdata%\Programs\UiPath\Studio\UiPath für Studio-Installationen pro Benutzer.
4. Use the SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client command to install the extension per user or SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client-global to install it per-machine (for all users). A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
5. Starten Sie Ihren Amazon WorkSpaces-Client neu, damit die Änderungen wirksam werden.
6. Die UiPath-Erweiterung für Amazon WorkSpaces ist jetzt installiert.

To generate native selectors for Amazon WorkSpaces technologies, you also need to deploy the UiPath Remote Runtime component on all your Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops, as explained on UiPath Remote Runtime.

Das UiPathRemoteRuntime.msi-Installationsprogramm kann heruntergeladen werden von:

• Produktdownloads im UiPath Customer Portal.
• Ressourcenzentrum in der UiPath Automation Cloud. Um auf das Ressourcenzentrum zuzugreifen, müssen Sie sich bei Ihrer Automation Cloud-Organisation anmelden, auf die Schaltfläche Hilfe in der Navigationsleiste klicken und die Option Downloads auswählen.

Deinstallieren der Erweiterung

Aus UiPath Studio

1. Schließen Sie Ihren laufenden Amazon WorkSpaces-Client.
2. Öffnen Sie UiPath Studio.
3. Navigate to Backstage View > Tools > UiPath Extensions.
4. Wählen Sie Amazon WorkSpaces > Deinstallieren aus und bestätigen Sie Ihre Auswahl.

The extension is uninstalled for the selected installation type (All Users or Current User).

Aus der Eingabeaufforderung

1. Schließen Sie alle Ihre laufenden virtuellen Amazon WorkSpaces-Desktops.
2. Wählen Sie die Windows Start-Schaltfläche aus und geben Sie cmd in das Suchfeld ein.
3. Right-click Command Prompt and run it as administrator.
4. Ändern Sie das Verzeichnis in den UiPath-Installationsordner:
   • cd C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\UiPath für Studio-Installationen pro Maschine.

Verwenden Sie den Befehl SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client /uninstall, um die Erweiterung für den aktuellen Benutzer zu deinstallieren, oder SetupExtensions.exe /amazon-workspaces-client-global /uninstall, um sie für alle Benutzer (pro Maschine) zu deinstallieren. Ein Bestätigungsdialogfeld wird angezeigt.

The UiPath Extension for Amazon WorkSpaces is uninstalled.
