December 2023
The new integration of Automation Hub with Assisted Task Mining enables organizations to launch an Assisted Task Mining project directly from an Automation Hub idea, accelerating the process of documenting manual tasks and streamlining the pipeline for automation. Once tasks are captured through Assisted Task Mining, these tasks are automatically associated with the corresponding Automation Hub idea. This eliminates the need for manual input and provides data-driven documentation of actual processes to ensure successful automation.
With the integration:
-
You can launch an Assisted Task Mining project directly from Automation Hub.
-
Your Assisted Task Mining project is automatically associated with the Automation Hub idea.
-
You can invite other users to document the captured process through Assisted Task Mining for the same Automation Hub idea.
-
You can conveniently access the associated Assisted Task Mining project from the link in the Automation Hub idea.
See Automation Hub - Assisted Task Mining Integration in the Automation Hub guide.
If you have previously used Task Capture you can still use it, but you are highly recommended to now use Assisted Task Mining to document your ideas. Assisted Task Mining is an evolution of Task Capture with enhanced features including automatic step identification and automatic merging across traces.
The new architecture for Unassisted Task Mining, that was released in Europe, the United States, Japan, and Singapore regions earlier this year, is now available in the Australia region. This new back-end architecture brings Unassisted Task Mining (UTM) and Assisted Task Mining (ATM) on the same architecture.
The change of architecture provides a new analysis engine that delivers more precise results (more valuable tasks) in a shorter amount of time (minutes, not hours), improved actions panel and slideshow, and other benefits. It also comes with additional features, including Workforce Insights, and export to .CSV format.

This announcement applies to all UiPath® Automation Cloud™ regions (Europe, the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, and Singapore).
Unassisted Task Mining legacy projects are no longer available starting from December 1, 2023.
In United States, Europe, Japan, Singapore, and Australia regions new Unassisted Task Mining projects will leverage the new architecture (introduced to Australia on December 1, 2023).
The Task Mining service will not be available for Canada region from December 1, 2023 until the new architecture is released in Q1 2024.
*) Legacy projects are Unassisted Task Mining projects that were created with the previous back-end architecture for Unassisted Task Mining.
