Installing the recorder

Installation process

Users invited to a project already have an account in Automation Cloud^TM, and so they need to use their Automation Cloud^TM credentials to sign in to the Recorder.

Note: The invitation emails sent from the Task Mining service in Automation Cloud^TM do not contain a password.

The installer can be accessed in different ways. You can find out more details in Accessing the Recorder Client page.

To install the Recorder from an Unassisted Task Mining project, follow the below steps:

1. Check for the invitation email received from the company administrator.

2. Select Install now.

3. Wait for the .msi file to be downloaded.

   Note: The type of file you receive is selected by the Company Admin when sending you the invitation.

4. Click the installer and install the Task Mining application.

   Note:

   If a previous client is detected, it is uninstalled and previous configuration (which can be migrated) is saved.

   If you have both old Assisted Task Mining and old Unassisted Task Mining clients installed, you need to uninstall one, keeping only one client for settings migration process.

5. Launch the Task Mining application via a shortcut on your desktop or search for it via the Windows search function.

   
   

   

   
   

If requested to record from an Assisted Task Mining project, the installer is downloaded automatically.
