November
You are already aware that UiPath® Task Mining is an automation opportunity discovery service. It uses a data-driven approach to gain a deeper understanding of existing business processes happening on desktops of employees to identify process improvement areas and automation candidates.
With this release, we've added a new Task Mining approach called Assisted Task Mining(ATM).
Here are some of the new features included in this release:
-
Unified Discovery Portal is the new homepage from where you can access both Assisted Task Mining and Unassisted Task Mining.
- Assisted Task Mining flow is focused on capturing the known process or tasks that could be further optimized. With Assisted Task Mining, you capture the multiple variations of processes and get a detailed view of the process.
- Unassisted Task Mining allows you to mine unknown tasks by recording your employees’ desktop activities and discovering repetitive tasks suited for automation and process improvement. This is what you already know as Task Mining today.
- To improve the user experience, some of the Task Capture capabilities have been incorporated in Assisted Task Mining.
- A new dedicated recorder is available for Assisted Task Mining. For more details, visit the Recording client overview page.
- The Merge traces feature lets you combine all captured traces into one comprehensive task graph. You can do this automatically or via a guided merge, if you wish to cherry-pick the available steps by using Compare traces.
- With the Sharing a project option, you can invite other users to contribute to your current project more easily.
- The Export feature lets you export in compatible formats to work with other applications.
- ML updates: We improved the input signals and model parameters to a more efficient use. As the input got better, we improved screen grouping and task extraction.
- No AI units are needed for Assisted Task Mining. They are only required to have the Task Mining service enabled for your tenant, to use the product.
With the addition of ATM, the Task Mining guide has been changed to have the ATM and UTM documentation in a single place.
